The “Fuata Mama” campaign started in January and is implemented jointly with departments of health in the two counties. It aims to ensure women attend antenatal care clinic at least four time, give birth in hospital and seek postnatal care services such as vaccination and medical checks for them and their children. The campaign covers all the project subcounties: Kuresoi North and Kuresoi in Nakuru as well as Baringo North, Baringo South, Baringo Central and Mogotio in Baringo.
